About Mach Industries

Founded in 2023, Mach Industries is a rapidly growing defense technology company focused on developing next-generation autonomous defense platforms. At the core of our mission is the commitment to delivering scalable, decentralized defense systems that enhance the strategic capabilities of the United States and its allies. With a workforce of approximately 350 employees, we operate with startup agility and ambition.

Our vision is to redefine the future of warfare through cutting-edge manufacturing, innovation at speed, and unwavering focus on national security. We are dedicated to solving the next generation of warfare with lethal systems that deter kinetic conflict and protect global security.

The Role

Mach is seeking a detail-oriented, safety-focused Integration Technician to support the assembly and integration of solid rocket motors, pyroflares, and other energetic hardware for mission-critical defense systems. In this hands-on role, you will build component, sub-level, and full-level assemblies using released work instructions and approved manufacturing processes while maintaining strict safety, quality, and material traceability standards. You will work closely with Propulsion Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Test teams to ensure assemblies are completed accurately and ready for downstream operations and testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and integrate solid rocket motor components, pyroflares, and other energetic hardware assemblies in accordance with released work instructions, engineering drawings, and approved build plans.
  • Perform mechanical assembly and fit-up using approved tooling, fixtures, and calibrated equipment while maintaining disciplined tool control and foreign object debris (FOD) prevention.
  • Work with propulsion technicians, test, and material handling teams to receive and verify authorized components, material identification, lot/serial information, and required documentation before integration.
  • Follow all applicable controls for handling, staging, transfer, and storage of energetic materials and assemblies; perform restricted activities only after required training and authorization.
  • Complete pre-task safety reviews and verify PPE, equipment readiness, and required protective controls; stop and escalate work when hazards, damage, or deviations are identified.
  • Accurately document assembly steps, component genealogy, configuration, inspections, and material movements using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), travelers, and other controlled records.
  • Perform self-inspections and support in-process quality checks, required inspection hold points, and final acceptance activities to ensure compliance with workmanship and quality standards.
  • Support pilot builds, new product introduction, line trials, and production ramp activities in partnership with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Assist engineers and Quality teams with documenting assembly issues, investigating nonconformances, and implementing approved corrective actions; never make unauthorized process changes.
  • Prepare and transfer completed assemblies and test articles to authorized downstream operations and Test teams with complete records and clear handoffs.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations using 5S practices, equipment accountability, material segregation, and approved housekeeping requirements.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks, communicate effectively across shifts, adapt to changing production priorities, and support continuous improvement and qualified on-the-job training.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, production, or mechanical assembly environment.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, bills of material (BOM), manufacturing travelers, and controlled assembly documentation.
  • Experience using basic hand tools, assembly fixtures, measurement equipment, and other production tooling in a controlled manufacturing environment.
