Refunds and cancellation
Draft pending legal review. This page is a plain-language draft. Values in {{double braces}} are filled in before alder takes payments.
Short version: passes are one-time payments that never renew, and you can get a full refund within 7 days of paying, no questions asked.
Full refund within 7 days
- Ask within 7 days of the payment date and we refund the full amount, whether or not you used the pass.
- How to ask: reply to your receipt email, or write to hello@{{domain}} from the email address on your alder account. Include the payment reference from the receipt if you have it.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method through Dodo Payments, which processed the payment. Banks and UPI apps usually show the money within 5–10 working days; the exact time depends on your bank.
- When the refund is processed, the pass ends and your account goes back to the free limits. Any other pass you hold is unaffected.
After 7 days
Refunds are not normally available after 7 days. If something went wrong on our side (for example, alder was unavailable for a long stretch of your pass, or you were charged twice), write to us and we will put it right.
No auto-renew, nothing to cancel
The founding sprint pass lasts 30 days and then simply ends. We never store a payment method for repeat charges, so there is no subscription to cancel.
Pass codes
A pass bought directly from the alder team and delivered as a code follows the same 7-day rule, counted from the day you paid. When we refund it, the pass it granted ends.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank; a refund is faster. If a payment is reversed through a dispute, the pass it bought ends.
