About Vercel

Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.

Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.

About the role

As an Engineering Manager on the Dashboard team, you’ll lead the engineers behind the primary interface developers use to build, deploy, and manage applications on Vercel. The Dashboard is where customers experience the platform every day, from onboarding new projects to managing deployments, observability, billing, security, AI, and team collaboration. You’ll partner with Product, Design, Data, and other engineering teams to deliver polished product experiences and help shape the long-term architecture of one of Vercel’s most important customer-facing surfaces. The role balances technical leadership, product thinking, and people management, so the team ships quickly without compromising quality. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, in the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.

What you’ll do

  • Build and grow the team through hiring, coaching, mentorship, and career development, and hold a high bar for engineering standards
  • Partner with Product, Design, Data, and other engineering teams to set roadmap priorities and deliver against product goals
  • Guide technical decisions on frontend architecture, performance, reliability, and developer experience, so the Dashboard stays fast and intuitive for developers of all sizes
  • Run engineering processes, incident management, and continuous improvement, and balance short-term delivery with long-term investment in technical quality and platform scalability
  • Review and contribute code to stay close to the technology and unblock the team

What you need

  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • 8+ years of engineering experience
  • Built and operated large-scale customer-facing web applications or developer products
  • Built modern web applications with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with frontend architecture, performance optimization, accessibility, and design systems
  • Partnered with product managers and designers to ship user-facing products, and built alignment across technical and non-technical teams
