Scopely is hiring a People Operations Partner to work on a hybrid basis from our Mexico City hub.

The People Operations Partner makes the employee experience run smoothly for our North America employees. You’ll bring operational expertise and a continuous improvement mindset to onboarding, local benefits, global mobility, and everything between. You care about getting the details right, and you’re always looking for a simpler, faster, better way to do things. Compliance is part of how we work, and your focus is delivering accurate, thoughtful, people-first service.

What You’ll Do

Employee Experience and Lifecycle Management

  • Own onboarding for new hires and deliver People Operations new hire orientations that make a strong first impression.
  • Confirm all new hires have the legal right to work and have completed required documentation before day one.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring employee documentation is completed.
  • Conduct employment verifications.
  • Partner with the People Business Partner (PBP) org and Legal on offboarding to make the exit experience smooth and respectful.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to PBPs, managers, and employees, offering clear guidance on local requirements and processes.

Continuous Improvement and Process Excellence

  • Drive ongoing improvements to People Operations processes, reducing manual work, errors, and turnaround time.
  • Generate and analyze JIRA and People Analytics metrics to spot trends, inform decisions, and improve productivity, including through the use of AI.
  • Create and maintain SOPs for core People processes, with clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Legal, IT, and HR Tech to refine HR systems and keep them efficient and aligned with data privacy requirements.

Local Benefits Support

  • Support employee and manager questions on local benefits, providing timely and accurate answers.
  • Partner with local brokers in Mexico City to administer benefits, resolve issues, and support open enrollment and renewals.
  • Identify recurring questions and gaps, and turn them into clearer communications, FAQs, and improved processes.

Global Mobility Support

  • Support Global Mobility cases from start to finish, coordinating with the Global Mobility team, Legal, and external providers.
  • Coordinate with vendors on relocation services and travel visa support, keeping timelines, costs, and deliverables on track.
  • Keep employees informed at each step, so they know what to expect and who to contact.

Accuracy, Data Integrity and Compliance

  • Ensure HR processes align with local labor laws and global standards, and flag potential issues early.
  • Maintain accurate new hire data and perform quarterly audits.
  • Prepare and submit required compliance reports to government agencies on time and accurately.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on employment regulations, supporting audits and legal reviews as needed.

Policy Development and Communication

  • Partner with Employee Relations to develop and implement HR policies that reflect our culture and meet legal requirements.
  • Communicate policy updates clearly to employees and leadership.

Make sure policies and procedures are easy to find for employees and the People Team.

People Operating System

  • Collaborate across teams to maintain a People operating system that supports the business and creates a seamless experience for employees.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in People Operations, HR operations, or HR administration, ideally in a fast-paced, global environment supporting multiple countries.
  • Working knowledge of Mexican employment law and HR compliance requirements (IMSS, INFONAVIT, SAT, STPS), with the ability to apply it in practice and learn U.S. and Canadian requirements.
  • A track record of improving processes, whether by streamlining workflows, building templates and SOPs, or using data to find and fix gaps.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in employee data, documentation, and reporting.
  • A service mindset: you communicate clearly and empathetically, and take ownership of making things easy for employees and managers.
