Position Summary

Natera is a global leader in cell-free DNA testing, focused on changing the management of disease in reproductive health, oncology, and organ transplantation. Signatera is a personalized, tumor-informed test for molecular residual disease (MRD) assessment and surveillance monitoring in patients previously diagnosed with cancer.

The Associate Director / Director of Product Management, Signatera Heme will own the product strategy and roadmap for Signatera in hematologic malignancies, starting with multiple myeloma and lymphomas. This person will work in a highly matrixed environment with the Foresight BU, R&D, Lab Operations, Software Engineering, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Business Development, and Regulatory. The role combines product management, market entry as a laboratory developed test (LDT), evidence generation, analytics, and clinical trial product support, including trials run under IUO and IVD pathways.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Signatera product roadmap for hematologic malignancies, beginning with multiple myeloma and lymphomas (for example, DLBCL, follicular, mantle cell, and Hodgkin lymphoma) and extending to additional heme indications.
  • Lead market entry planning for Signatera in heme as a laboratory developed test (LDT), including clinical validation requirements, CLIA and state requirements, market access/reimbursement and payer considerations, and launch readiness with Lab Operations, Regulatory, Medical, commercial and Marketing.
  • Define product requirements for blood-based malignancies with R&D, Lab Operations, and Software Engineering, including assay, sample type, workflow, and reporting needs.
  • Lead product support for clinical trials using Signatera in heme, including IUO use in studies with pharma and academic partners, and the path toward IVD and regulated use.
  • Partner with Regulatory, Clinical, and Business Development on trial start-up, study requirements, and pharma and companion diagnostic opportunities.
  • Build product performance metrics and dashboards. Analyze test volume, adoption, ordering patterns, turnaround time, and retention. Use the results to prioritize improvements.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs and Clinical on evidence generation strategy and execution. Areas of collaboration include identifying clinical gaps, designing studies, working with investigators and trial partners, and planning publications and congress presentations.
  • Guide product development for Signatera Genome in heme, including whole genome sequencing technology, phased variants, and structural variants. Work with R&D and Bioinformatics to define how these features improve tumor tracking and MRD sensitivity in heme malignancies.
  • Conduct Voice of Customer interviews, market research, and competitive and market intelligence in hematologic oncology.
  • Engage with key opinion leaders, advisory boards, and congresses (for example, ASH, EHA, and ASCO). Gather insights to guide product decisions.
  • Work with Marketing on product positioning, launch plans, pricing, and key collateral.
  • Build business cases and financial models to support product initiatives.
  • Present strategy, progress, and data-driven recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, statistics, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MBA) preferred.
  • 5+ years (7+ preferred) of experience in product management, product marketing, or market analytics at a diagnostics, biotech, or pharmaceutical company.
  • Hematologic oncology experience is strongly preferred, especially multiple myeloma and lymphoma.
  • Working knowledge of oncology molecular testing, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and biomarkers, including NGS bioinformatic workflows (e.g., variant calling, filtering, and interpretation) and genomic data analysis. MRD experience preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis. SQL, Snowflake, or similar tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with a high complexity molecular laboratory, including cfDNA or plasma workflows, is a plus.
