Role Overview

As the Manager, Technology Strategy and Transformation, you'll translate business goals into technology strategies, investment cases, and prioritized roadmaps that deliver measurable value. You'll lead discovery from problem definition through solution selection and remain accountable for adoption and business outcomes after delivery.

Technology Strategy & Roadmap

  • Build and maintain technology strategies and roadmaps that define target business capabilities, success measures, and the initiatives required to achieve them.
  • Translate executive priorities into clear problem statements, requirements, and sequenced initiatives in partnership with AI & Analytics, Data Science, Software & Data Engineering, Enterprise & Community Applications, and Digital Experience teams.
  • Lead intake and discovery to uncover underlying business problems, challenge assumptions, and prioritize opportunities against transparent standards.
  • Create a clear, shared view of what technology will build, buy, or enable and when, ensuring investments align with the highest-value business needs.

Emerging Technology & Solution Strategy

  • Identify and advance AI, data, and emerging technology opportunities that address measurable business needs and create sustainable value.
  • Lead build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions through market research, vendor and SaaS evaluations, RFPs, requirements analysis, fit-gap assessments, and recommendations.
  • Partner with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise architecture, data platforms, integration requirements, and long-term technology strategy.

Business Cases & Investment Analysis

  • Develop investment cases using a consistent enterprise framework, including ROI, three-year total cost of ownership, quantified benefits against established baselines, and defined benefit-realization checkpoints.
  • Evaluate technology cost structures and operating models and recommend changes that improve business value and investment efficiency.
  • Make technology investments comparable through consistent financial and strategic analysis, helping direct capital toward the highest-value opportunities.
  • Translate complex business, financial, and technology analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for executive leaders.

Stakeholder & Change Leadership

  • Build trusted partnerships with business leaders to frame needs around business problems and outcomes rather than predetermined technology solutions.
  • Challenge existing processes and assumptions while helping stakeholders evaluate practical solution options and trade-offs.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment among business, technology, vendor, partner, and global delivery teams.
  • Support solution adoption and benefit realization, maintaining accountability beyond implementation.

Delivery & Outcome Management

  • Define business requirements, expected value, solution approach, and success measures before delivery begins.
  • Partner with technical teams to align solution architecture and oversee budget, scope, timeline, dependencies, and business outcomes.
  • Establish KPIs and OKRs that connect technology initiatives to measurable business results and report progress to executive leadership.
  • Maintain outcome accountability regardless of whether work is delivered internally, through a vendor, by a partner team, or through Program Delivery.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in management or technology consulting, corporate strategy or development, finance, or product management, with meaningful exposure to technology investment decisions; real estate experience is a plus but is not required.
