About the Team

We are seeking a subject matter expert (SME) in Data Center Commissioning and Quality. This role requires direct knowledge of data center construction, with a strong focus on MEP systems.

You will work directly with CoreWeave’s project coordination team to make sure projects across the CoreWeave portfolio are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee the installation and testing of components and systems, including mission-critical systems such as generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution equipment, and redundancy protocols, as well as cooling systems such as chillers and CDUs.

This is a remote-eligible position with 50% travel required. Candidates must live in or near one of these regions: Northern Virginia; Dallas, Texas; Richmond, Virginia; Livingston, New Jersey; or Atlanta, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep safety at the forefront of all construction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with general contractors, trade partners, and vendors as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams, facilitating communication during commissioning activities.
  • Review all written documentation, including commissioning and quality-related information.
  • Help develop, review, and implement commissioning plans as needed.
  • Help coordinate and attend pre-construction commissioning meetings.
  • Attend construction progress and pre-installation job-site meetings to gather relevant information.
  • Review meeting minutes for necessary revisions and help resolve discrepancies related to design intent.
  • Inspect field installations, witness functional and commissioning tests, and conduct site visits as needed.
  • Travel to sites, client meetings, and training as required.
  • Help develop reports for leadership teams and clients on project progress, problems, and solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in MEP commissioning, ideally within data centers or critical facilities.
  • Understanding of data center systems, BMS/EPMS, and MEP building systems.
  • Experience with electrical and low-voltage equipment coordination, and with commissioning or quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with relevant design and local codes, as well as industry standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ASHRAE).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the assertiveness to keep processes on schedule.
  • Ability to maintain relationships with contractors, clients, and internal departments.
  • Willingness to travel 50% and respond to after-hours communications in emergencies.
  • A valid driver’s license with no significant MVA points or violations.
  • Work authorization that does not require company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with commissioning software and tools.
