Get to Know Us

Horizon3 is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to the mission of enabling organizations to proactively find and fix and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. Our flagship product, the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. NodeZero has been adopted by organizations of all sizes, from small educational institutions to government agencies and Global 100 enterprises. It is used by ITOps/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and MSSPs and MSPs.

We are a fusion of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers, and formerly frustrated cybersecurity practitioners. We're committed to helping solve our common security problems: ineffective security tools, false positives resulting in alert fatigue, blind spots, "checkbox” security culture, cybersecurity skills shortage, and the long lead time and expense of hiring outside consultants. Collectively, we are a team of learn it alls, committed to a culture of respect, collaboration, ownership, and results.

What You'll Do

The Senior Software Engineer on the Partner Integrations team plays a key technical role in how NodeZero connects to the security ecosystem. Our integrations with CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Splunk, ServiceNow, and dozens of other platforms are how customers turn NodeZero findings into action — they're not an afterthought, they're a core part of the product. You will design, build, and maintain integration architecture, contribute to reliability and observability standards, and work on key integration surfaces across the platform.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role. You will write production code, participate in architecture design, collaborate with peer engineers, and help solve complex integration challenges alongside team leadership. The team is building a portfolio of integrations on a shared framework — your job is to build on and enhance that framework to ensure every integration is reliable, maintainable, and seamless for our customers. This role reports to the Partner Integrations Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and maintain integrations between NodeZero and partner platforms, including security, SIEM, SOAR, and ITSM tools.

Own assigned integrations end to end—from understanding partner APIs and requirements through implementation, launch, and production support.

Implement reliable integration patterns for authentication, event delivery, retries, idempotency, pagination, rate limits, schema mapping, and partial failures.

Contribute improvements to the shared integration framework, testing practices, documentation, and observability.

Monitor and troubleshoot integrations in production; investigate issues, identify root causes, and deliver fixes that prevent recurrence.

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and partner technical teams to clarify requirements, resolve API questions, and communicate risks and progress.

Participate in design and code reviews, and help teammates improve through knowledge sharing and constructive feedback.

What You'll Bring

Several years of professional software engineering experience, including building and supporting production APIs, integrations, or backend services.

Proficiency in Go or Python and experience delivering maintainable, well-tested production code.

Practical understanding of API integration patterns, such as OAuth 2.0 or API keys, webhooks, pagination, rate limiting, retries, idempotency, and schema evolution.

Experience handling distributed-systems failure modes, including duplicate or delayed events, partial failures, and partner API changes.

Experience using logs, metrics, alerts, and dashboards to understand and troubleshoot production systems.

Comfort working in cloud-native or containerized environments, such as AWS and Kubernetes.

Strong collaboration skills: can work through ambiguity with partners and internal teams, explain technical tradeoffs, and follow through on commitments.
