Most organisations add AI to processes that were designed for people and paper. That rarely works. At Faktion, we believe the real value comes from redesigning how work gets done, end to end, with AI built in from the start.

We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst who can do exactly that. You take complex, business-critical questions and turn them into clear problem definitions, future-proof processes and requirements that business and IT both understand. You also show where AI, automation and data make the biggest difference. You'll work closely with our clients' leadership, operations and IT teams, and with our own machine learning and software engineers.

About Faktion

Faktion is an AI solutions and advisory company. We help organisations become AI-native, from strategy and process redesign to building and running custom AI solutions in production. We don't just advise on AI. We build it, and we use it every day in our own work.

What you'll do

Structure the problem before solving it

Map needs, bottlenecks and expectations of operational teams, customers and stakeholders through workshops, interviews, observation and data analysis

Define the analysis approach, scope, hypotheses and decision criteria for complex, multidisciplinary questions

Uncover root causes, dependencies and system impact across processes, data and applications

Make conflicting interests, business rules and policy choices explicit so leadership can decide

Redesign processes to be AI-native

Model current and future end-to-end processes (BPMN), rethinking them around what AI, automation and data make possible, not just digitising what exists

Pinpoint where AI adds real value and where human judgement must stay in the loop

Translate business choices into business rules, functional specifications, acceptance criteria and change requests

Ensure end-to-end consistency across processes, customer interactions, data flows and systems

Advise on decisions with data

Use process, operational and customer data to build insights and business cases

Define KPIs and success criteria with stakeholders, and measure the impact once solutions are live

Lay out scenarios and trade-offs, and give a well-argued recommendation, including advice to rephase, refocus or stop an initiative

Bridge business, IT and AI teams

Act as the link between business, operations, IT and our ML and software engineers

Help shape roadmaps and priorities as a strategic sparring partner for directors, process owners and sponsors

Take the content lead in implementation: planning, risk and dependency management, and coordinating functional and user acceptance testing

Keep an eye on user, legal, ethical and security standards

Raise the bar

Coach business analysts, process managers and business experts in problem structuring, requirements engineering and process analysis

Bring new methods and best practices to clients and to Faktion

Help turn new solutions and propositions into compelling stories, and share your expertise at events and in our content

Requirements

5+ years of experience in business analysis, process optimisation, digital transformation or a related consulting role, ideally in complex, service-driven operational environments

Strong in process analysis and problem structuring, with hands-on BPMN and requirements engineering experience

Comfortable with data: you back up your analyses with numbers and think in KPIs and impact

A solid understanding of IT architecture and software delivery, and a broad grasp of what AI and automation can (and can't) do for a business. Hands-on experience with AI or data projects is a big plus

A trusted advisor who influences decisions at leadership level and builds support across business and IT

Results-driven, client-focused and a natural collaborator who shares knowledge and reconciles different views

A master's degree in business, economics, business engineering, computer science or similar, or equivalent experience. Maturity counts more than diplomas

Fluent in Dutch and English. Strong French is a significant plus

What we offer

A competitive salary package with company car or mobility budget, health and group insurance, laptop and smartphone

Challenging transformation work at the intersection of business, processes and AI

A team of AI engineers, consultants and builders who turn ideas into working solutions

Room to grow, with a training and innovation budget

Flexible hybrid working from our Antwerp office

Team events and a culture where curiosity and ownership are rewarded

Ready to help organisations reinvent how they work with AI? Apply now.
