Talent Acquisition Lead - Part-Time

Instant Impact is hiring a Talent Acquisition Lead to head up recruitment on a client partnership in Melbourne. We’re open to part-time working patterns and happy to talk through what works for you. We’d ideally like you in the office 1–2 days a week, as that’s where a lot of the team connection and collaboration happens.

How We Work

At Instant Impact, our approach is shaped by three core ways of working:

  • Growth Mindset: We believe in continuous improvement, for ourselves, our teams, and our clients. Every challenge is a chance to learn, innovate, and raise the bar.
  • Accountability: We own our commitments. From hitting SLAs to developing our people, we do what we say we'll do and we measure what matters.
  • Pace & Collaboration: Speed wins, but not at the expense of quality. We work closely together across teams, with clients, and with candidates to move faster and smarter..

What does it mean to be our Talent Acquisition Lead?

As our TA Lead, you'll be at the heart of our exciting journey, driving the success of your partnership and playing an integral role as we kick off an extremely exciting period of growth. You'll be accountable for meeting and exceeding SLAs and hiring objectives across your portfolio of roles and you'll run your roles end to end, keep hiring moving at pace, and be the person stakeholders rely on to deliver great candidates and an excellent experience

Responsibilities

Recruitment Delivery

  • Managing roles end to end, from intake through to offer, coordinating support from others where needed
  • Using a wide range of sourcing techniques, including headhunting, to find outstanding candidates across all levels and disciplines
  • Building talent intelligence before, during and after hiring projects, and using it to improve results and guide stakeholder decisions
  • Adapting your approach to market conditions so our partner stands out as an employer of choice

Service Delivery

  • Prioritising your workload, pushing back where needed, and consistently delivering to SLAs
  • Taking the lead on problem solving, spotting blockers early and bringing solutions
  • Preparing for, and presenting at, monthly partnership review meetings
  • Sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues as part of our hive-knowledge culture

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Building strong relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders across the business
  • Understanding business and hiring priorities, and planning ahead for future demand
  • Identifying ways to improve how hiring is delivered, and supporting the TAM/PD with improvement projects

Skills

  • Strong in-house, RPO or embedded recruitment experience, with a proven track record of delivering to SLAs and hiring targets
  • Experience managing a varied portfolio of roles end to end, often at volume and pace
  • Skilled at direct sourcing and headhunting, beyond advertising alone
  • Confident partnering with stakeholders, with the ability to challenge, influence and manage expectations
  • Comfortable using data and market insight to drive hiring decisions
  • Organised and resilient, able to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuinely curious about AI. You're already experimenting with AI tools in your day-to-day work, whether for sourcing, screening, writing or research, and you're keen to keep learning how they can make recruitment faster, smarter and more candidate-friendly
