Accountabilities:

Fullstack software development: Design, develop, maintain, and optimize frontend and backend components of an advanced neurotechnology platform, ensuring performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Frontend architecture: Lead the development of intuitive and responsive web and mobile applications using React and React Native, delivering seamless user experiences for healthcare professionals and other platform users.
Backend development: Build and maintain backend services using Python and Node.js, ensuring efficient communication between applications, hardware systems, and cloud infrastructure.
Hardware integration: Develop software capabilities that interact with brain stimulation devices, supporting reliable communication, control, and synchronization between hardware and digital applications.
Data management and visualization: Create advanced data visualization tools, including real-time 3D models and interactive interfaces, to help healthcare providers access, interpret, and manage patient information.
API development: Design, implement, and maintain robust APIs that connect frontend applications with backend services and external systems.
Cloud infrastructure: Contribute to the development and maintenance of cloud-based architecture using AWS services, ensuring secure data synchronization, efficient processing, and reliable system performance.
Data security: Implement strong encryption and security practices to protect sensitive patient information and ensure secure communication across the platform.
User experience optimization: Gather feedback from users and healthcare professionals, translate insights into product improvements, and continuously enhance application usability and functionality.
Technical collaboration: Work closely with other engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to define technical solutions, resolve complex challenges, and deliver product improvements.
Team leadership and development: Help manage, mentor, and grow an international engineering team based in India, encouraging technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Innovation and scalability: Contribute to technical strategy and product evolution, identifying opportunities to introduce new technologies and improve the overall platform architecture.

Requirements

Professional experience: At least six years of fullstack software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on frontend development and application architecture.
Frontend expertise: Advanced proficiency in React and React Native, with demonstrated experience building scalable, high-performance, and user-friendly web and mobile applications.
Backend development: Strong experience with backend technologies such as Python and/or Node.js, including the development and maintenance of reliable application services.
API architecture: Solid understanding of API design, frontend-backend integration, and the development of scalable software architectures.
Data-driven development: Experience building applications that process, manage, and visualize complex datasets, with an ability to deliver intuitive and effective data-driven interfaces.
Cloud technologies: Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and services, particularly ECS, CDK, Glue, Firehose, and EventBridge.
Database management: Experience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and designing efficient data management solutions.
Technical leadership: Ability and interest in mentoring engineers, supporting team growth, sharing technical knowledge, and contributing to engineering standards and best practices.
Problem-solving abilities: Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges and deliver practical, high-quality solutions.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a rapidly evolving startup environment, managing changing priorities, learning new technologies, and taking ownership of challenging projects.
