Provide legal support for potential mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions.

Develop and implement legal procedures, policies, systems, and frameworks to support the organization's continued growth.

Coordinate and manage external legal advisers when specialist expertise or additional support is required.

Contribute to the development of the legal function and support more junior team members through guidance and collaboration.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a commercially minded senior lawyer with substantial international experience in technology, SaaS contracting, and corporate legal matters. You should combine strong technical legal expertise with sound business judgment and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment. Key qualifications include:

At least 10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).

Relevant experience at an international top-tier law firm, preferably within corporate M&A, commercial, or Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) practice groups, and/or substantial relevant in-house legal experience.

Experience supporting global startups or scale-ups, ideally in technology or AI-driven industries.

Strong subject matter expertise in SaaS agreements and related commercial contracting, particularly within technology and AI sectors.

Experience advising on international commercial agreements and working with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

Familiarity with public-sector procurement and government tender processes across global markets.

A current legal practising certificate in New South Wales (NSW).

Experience using contract management systems such as LawVu or similar platforms.

Excellent commercial judgment and the ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice to senior stakeholders and fast-paced global sales teams.

Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

A proactive and self-driven approach, with the ability to take ownership of complex matters and support more junior colleagues.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assess business challenges holistically, beyond purely technical legal considerations.

Comfort working in a dynamic, collaborative, and technology-enabled environment, including AI-native workflows and communication tools such as Slack.

Benefits

12-month fixed-term contract, with a preferred start date of 1 February 2027.

Opportunity to contribute to innovative AI technology designed to improve healthcare outcomes globally.
