Position Summary

GHJ Search & Staffing has partnered with a nationally recognized nonprofit organization seeking an Accountant to join their team. The role is responsible for day-to-day accounting duties including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, assisting with the audit and more.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily financial operations, accounting activities, and monthly close processes.
Assist with annual budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and budget-to-actual reporting.
Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements and operational reports to leadership.
Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, and finance staff.
Ensure monthly bank reconciliations and accounting entries are completed accurately and on time.
Partner with leadership on grant management, reporting, compliance, and fund accounting activities.
Recommend and implement financial system improvements, internal controls, and staff training initiatives.
