Working in MarTech with WPP Enterprise Solutions

WPP Enterprise Solutions is a full-service digital agency helping ambitious brands deliver connected, personalised experiences across digital channels. Our expertise spans Marketing, Commerce, CRM, PXM and CX, enabling us to deliver end-to-end solutions with measurable impact.

Our clients include Bayer, MSD, Dyson, Johnson & Johnson, RTL, Nestlé, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and other global brands. Our teams are based in Amsterdam, Barcelona, London, Poland and India, with access to the wider WPP network worldwide.

The Opportunity

You'll help design and build MarTech solutions across Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud and the wider Salesforce platform, working collaboratively across the wider team. Depending on the client, you may work across platforms such as Braze, Klaviyo, Bloomreach and Adobe, together with data and cloud technologies including Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Tealium, Segment, AWS, Azure and GCP.

What You'll Do

1. Design the solution and data

  • You help shape the data model and integrations, then build, test and support reliable production code with the wider team.
  • Most of our depth sits in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, but the architecture rarely stops at one platform.
  • Relational schemas, keys, retention, extract and ingestion strategies.
  • Identity resolution across fragmented sources.

2. Build the integrations

  • REST, SOAP, webhooks, batch or event-driven - you help select the right pattern, implement it and ensure failures recover safely.
  • Work at the warehouse and CDP layer, not just the activation platform at the end of it.

3. Build maintainable solutions

  • Build with AMPScript, SSJS, Apex, LWC, Liquid, Jinja or general-purpose code, depending on the platform and problem.
  • Queries and automation logic driving segmentation and journeys at volume.
  • Improve the team’s versioning, review and deployment practices where they add value.
  • Decisions documented so they outlast your engagement.

4. Translate for the client

  • Shape ambiguous requirements into something buildable and present the solution yourself.

What You Bring

1. Software Engineering

  • Production experience with Node.js, Python, Java, PHP or .NET.
  • You write maintainable, tested and idempotent code with effective error handling and logging.

2. Data Engineering and Architecture

  • Strong SQL against large datasets - not just reads, but the queries that drive segmentation and automation.
  • You understand customer identity resolution across fragmented sources, including deterministic and probabilistic matching, survivorship and profile consolidation.

3. Integration and Delivery

  • Delivered a production integration using REST, SOAP or webhooks.
  • Understands batch and event-driven patterns, rate limits, retries, failure recovery and duplicate prevention.
  • Hands-on version control in a team setting - branching, pull requests, peer review.

4. Front-end Development

  • Comfortable building and debugging rendered output with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

5. Marketing Platform Delivery

  • Hands-on delivery on an enterprise marketing or CRM platform - Salesforce, Braze, Klaviyo, Bloomreach, Adobe or equivalent.
  • Built audience segmentation and multi-step customer journeys against a live data source.
