We are looking for a Senior Staff Platform Engineer to lead the design and evolution of our global cloud infrastructure, with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure. This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure expert with a track record of designing secure, scalable, and maintainable systems that support enterprise-grade SaaS platforms.

You’ll play a critical role in building and operating the foundation of our modern data protection platform, helping define the future of our cloud architecture, disaster recovery readiness, and internal developer experience.

In this Role, you will:

  • Design, build, and evolve cloud infrastructure using modern Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi)
  • Architect and manage core cloud services, including networking, identity/access control, account/subscription hierarchy, and resource governance
  • Define and implement cloud-based disaster recovery strategies that meet enterprise RTO/RPO requirements
  • Drive standards for high availability, security, scalability, and cost-efficiency across our cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
  • Lead initiatives that improve developer experience, platform reliability, and operational excellence
  • Build internal tooling and automation to simplify cloud adoption and resource provisioning for engineering teams
  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor, guiding engineers across platform, SRE, and product teams
  • Partner with security, compliance, and operations teams to enforce cloud architecture policies and guardrails
  • Represent the platform team in architecture reviews, planning discussions, and cross-functional programs

Technologies you will work with:

  • Azure (e.g., VNETs, Azure AD, AKS, Private Link)
  • AWS (e.g., VPC, IAM, EKS, PrivateLink, Organizations)
  • Terraform, Pulumi, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, GitHub Actions, Go, Bash, Python\

What we are looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure roles, with deep expertise in Azure
  • Experience designing and supporting production infrastructure for enterprise SaaS applications
  • Proven experience defining and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans in the cloud
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity and access management, multi-account/subscription architecture, and policy enforcement
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or Pulumi) and CI/CD systems
  • Skilled in scripting or programming (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale technical initiatives and drive adoption of best practices
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing architecture beyond your immediate team
  • Clear, direct communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in multi-cloud environments
  • Familiarity with internal developer platforms, service mesh, or API gateway patterns
  • Knowledge of cloud compliance frameworks and security best practices

We offer:

  • Unlimited PTO
  • Paid Holidays
  • Veeam Care Days: 24 hours paid time for volunteering
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on day one (multiple plan options)
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options
  • Employer HSA contributions (for HDHP participants)
  • Life and AD&D insurance (employee, spouse/partner, and child options)
  • Company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance
  • Supplemental individual disability insurance (IDI)
  • Family planning support: fertility, adoption, surrogacy, and parental resources
