Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.

Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.

The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.

Role Overview

The Account Executive – Accelerate (Growth) is a portfolio-based sales role focused on growing existing client partnerships within The Trade Desk. You’ll manage a book of business across a mix of advertisers and agencies, with the goal of deepening engagement and increasing investment over time. This role is a strong fit for sellers with early-career experience in digital advertising who are ready to own client relationships, learn a repeatable expansion playbook, and build the skills to grow into more complex portfolios.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and grow a portfolio of existing client relationships within the Growth organization, driving revenue expansion and long-term partnership value
  • Partner closely with Client Services to deliver strong client support and surface growth opportunities
  • Develop and execute account growth plans across advertisers and agencies, spanning multiple verticals
  • Identify, pitch, and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities (e.g., channel expansion, measurement solutions) by understanding client goals and aligning them with The Trade Desk’s capabilities
  • Lead commercial conversations around renewals, expansions, and incremental investment within existing accounts
  • Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers across brand and agency partners, offering insights and education on programmatic media
  • Communicate the value of The Trade Desk platform through tailored presentations and business reviews
  • Partner cross-functionally with Client Services, Trading, Marketing, and Product to support client success and share client feedback
  • Leverage market and competitive insights to position differentiated solutions
  • Accurately manage pipeline, activity, forecasts, and account plans with strong attention to detail

Who you are:

  • 2+ years of experience in digital advertising, account management, or sales
  • Experience at an online publisher, retailer, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, SEM platform, DSP, DMP, or similar (programmatic preferred)
  • Exposure to managing multiple client relationships or opportunities at once, with a track record of driving growth or meeting targets
  • Consultative mindset, with the ability to identify client needs and translate them into business opportunities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior-level clients
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with negotiation ability
  • Organized and disciplined in managing pipeline, activity, and multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proactive, self-starter mindset with a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Curious, coachable, and motivated to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
