We are seeking a proactive, analytical Retail Marketing Manager to own North America retailer marketing plans, activations and investment effectiveness. This role translates brand strategy and commercial priorities into client-facing programs that drive discovery, conversion and repeat purchase. Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, you will own the activation calendar, manage approved marketing budgets and use performance insights to recommend where and how to invest.

As Retail Marketing Manager, you’ll

  • Develop and own the full retailer activation calendar, identifying marketing needs and growth opportunities based on client insights, sales trends and retailer priorities. Partner cross-functionally to align campaigns, launches and field activities.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen brand presence across retailer digital and in-store touchpoints. Develop recommendations for merchandising, product content and client messaging, partnering with Creative, Education and retailer teams to execute.
  • Own sampling, gifts with purchase, retailer media placements and events, partnering with Field on in-store execution. Manage activation timelines, retailer submissions and approvals.
  • Lead day-to-day relationships with retailer marketing teams to secure placements and activation opportunities. Align plans with Account Management on commercial priorities and retailer commitments.
  • Recommend activation budgets and spend allocations for approval. Track commitments, invoices and actuals with Finance, flag variances and recommend adjustments within approved budgets.
  • Define activation objectives and measurement plans with Account Management. Use Excel to evaluate sales lift, engagement, conversion, cost efficiency and ROI where data permits, accounting for underlying sales trends.
  • Present activation results and recommend what to repeat, improve or stop and where to reallocate spend. Use client and competitive insights to develop new recruitment and repeat-purchase programs.
  • Own retailer marketing briefs, asset submissions and execution approvals. Partner with global Marketing and Creative on messaging and assets, and with Planning and Operations on sample and gift quantities and delivery.

What skills and experience do I need for this role?

  • Relevant experience in retail or trade marketing, ideally in prestige beauty. Direct experience working with Sephora marketing programs is highly preferred.
