Overview

Storable is hiring a Senior Product Designer to join our centralized design team and improve experiences across Storage, RV/Camping, and Marine. You’ll lead complex, cross-product UX initiatives that help customers complete important operational work more clearly, efficiently, and confidently.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with broad influence. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, research partners, and other designers to understand customer workflows, define the right problems, and turn insights into useful, accessible product experiences. You’ll also mentor designers through practical feedback and help teams create more consistent patterns across business areas.

The role is based in Bellevue, Washington, with a hybrid working arrangement of three days per week in our Bellevue office near the light rail.

What you'll do every day

  • Lead prioritized UX initiatives across Storage, RV/Camping, and Marine, from problem definition through launch and iteration.
  • Understand customer workflows through research, observation, product data, and collaboration with customer-facing and product teams.
  • Frame complex problems clearly, identify meaningful opportunities, and use evidence to guide design decisions and tradeoffs.
  • Create user flows, information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed interface designs that make complex work easier to complete.
  • Test concepts with users and stakeholders, synthesize findings, and refine solutions before delivery.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering throughout implementation by documenting decisions, clarifying interaction details, and reviewing the shipped experience.
  • Lead design critiques and reviews that help teams make better decisions, align on priorities, and raise the quality of product experiences.
  • Mentor designers through actionable feedback, collaborative problem-solving, and support on research, interaction design, prototyping, and communication.
  • Design accessible experiences with clear controls, useful feedback, understandable error states, and reusable patterns that support a broad range of customers.
  • Use product measurement and customer feedback to evaluate whether design changes improve task completion, usability, and business outcomes.
  • Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate research synthesis, design exploration, prototyping, and documentation; validate outputs against source evidence and customer needs.
  • Share repeatable AI-assisted workflows and help the design team evaluate where automation improves quality, speed, or consistency while preserving human judgment.

What you need to bring

  • A portfolio of shipped software that demonstrates how you solved complex UX problems, evaluated outcomes, and made thoughtful tradeoffs. Be prepared to explain your specific contribution and the evidence behind your decisions.
  • Significant experience leading product design work across Product and Engineering teams, including ownership of ambiguous or cross-functional initiatives from discovery through delivery.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching other designers through practical feedback, design critique, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma, interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, usability testing, and designing with reusable components and patterns.
  • Working knowledge of accessible design principles and the ability to create interfaces with clear controls, feedback, and error recovery.
