For this position, we are looking for candidates who are already living and working in the Netherlands, as relocation to the Netherlands is not available for this role.

At Schuberg Philis, we design, build and run mission-critical IT systems for organizations that keep society running; from banks and energy providers to logistics networks and public infrastructure.

Systems that simply cannot go down.

Our engineers work in autonomous teams with end-to-end responsibility. They combine deep technical expertise with a strong sense of ownership, working directly with customers to solve complex challenges that truly matter.

As we continue to grow internationally, we are seeking an Employer Branding Specialist to help build and strengthen our reputation as an employer in the Netherlands, Sweden and Germany.

Not through generic campaigns, but through credible stories, strong community presence, and a deep understanding of our talent markets.

The role

As Employer Branding Specialist, you take ownership of how Schuberg Philis is perceived as an employer across multiple markets. You operate at the intersection of Marketing and Recruitment:

  • Marketing as your organizational home (content, design, channels)
  • Recruitment as your primary partner (hiring priorities, talent insights)

This is a strategic and hands-on role. You shape our positioning, build the programs, and ensure our story reaches the right people in the right way. Consistently, authentically, and with substance.

This is not a role where you inherit a finished playbook. You will:

  • Build on a strong foundation in the Netherlands
  • Help shape and establish our employer brand in new markets
  • Work closely with engineers whose stories are worth telling
  • Operate within a professional marketing setup while staying deeply connected to recruitment

What you will work on

Talent audience & market insight; You build a deep understanding of our key talent groups (Engineering, Delivery, Consulting, Sales).

  • Develop talent personas based on research, not assumptions
  • Understand what drives these professionals and where they engage
  • Translate insights into actionable hiring and branding strategies

Employer Value Proposition; You help develop and evolve our EVP and translate it into clear, credible narratives.

  • Ensure consistency across markets and channels
  • Adapt messaging to different talent segments
  • Anchor all communication in real engineering practice

Community & reputation building; Talented professionals often engage through communities rather than respond to job ads.

  • Strengthen our presence in relevant tech and professional communities
  • Drive participation in meetups, conferences, and knowledge sharing
  • Activate employees as ambassadors and storytellers

Content & storytelling; Our colleagues do meaningful and complex work. Your role is to make it visible.

  • Develop and orchestrate authentic content (deep dives, blogs, talks)
  • Build a consistent content pipeline with Marketing
  • Ensure everything we publish is technically credible and real

Candidate journey; You help design and continuously improve the journey from first touchpoint to hire.

  • Align messaging across all touchpoints
  • Identify and remove friction in collaboration with Recruitment
  • Strengthen candidate experience and conversion

Recruitment marketing; Recruitment marketing is part of employer branding, not the starting point.

  • Coordinate campaigns and channel strategies
  • Translate hiring priorities into targeted actions
  • Experiment and optimize continuously

What you bring

This role is suited to an experienced professional with a strong understanding of both employer branding and technical talent markets.

Relevant backgrounds may include employer branding, tech marketing, developer relations, or community building. What matters most is an understanding of how engineers think and what they value. You bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in employer branding or a related field
  • Experience working with technical or engineering audiences
  • Strong storytelling and content instincts
  • Ability to combine strategy with execution
