Revolution Medicines is a global, commercial-state oncology company dedicated to discovering, developing and delivering innovative medicines for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. Leveraging its differentiated RAS(ON) tri-complex inhibitor platform, the company is advancing a broad, integrated portfolio of oral RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to directly target the active, cancer-driving state of RAS. Founded on rigorous scientific inquiry and a willingness to challenge long-held assumptions, Revolution Medicines is committed to changing the trajectory of disease for patients with RAS-addicted cancers worldwide.
Our people are united by a shared way of working: follow the science, challenge assumptions, act with urgency and hold ourselves to a high standard of rigor—all in service of patients.
The Opportunity
The Senior Vice President, Late-Stage Clinical Development is one of the most visible and influential leadership roles in the company. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and sitting at the top of the late-stage clinical development organization, this executive plays a key role in shaping how the portfolio evolves. The person in this seat drives the future value of the company from a compound perspective.
The role arrives at an inflection point. With the first medicine approved and multiple registrational programs running in parallel, the company is moving from a single approved product to a multi-asset, multi-indication late-stage portfolio. This leader drives the overall clinical development strategy, maps out the plan that carries the portfolio forward in partnership with the Chief Medical Officer, and owns the registrational and Phase 3 programs across every asset. The Global Development Team Leads across the portfolio report to this executive.
Much of the substance of the job is working through the Global Development Team Leads to shape the trials, interpret emerging data, and decide how to change standard of care in tumors that have resisted it. The leader is also accountable for the structure and development of the late-stage organization: hiring and developing team leads who build their own teams, and aligning clinical scientists to the programs they support.
Visibility extends well beyond the development organization. This executive works directly with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Development Officer on portfolio strategy, represents Revolution Medicines externally with clinical collaboration partners, with the potential to co-chair a joint steering or joint development committee, and can take leadership of a disease-area franchise. This is intended as a long-term seat, with scope expected to grow as the organization and the portfolio expand.
