THE ROLE

At Everpure, we build the high-performance foundation of the Enterprise Data Cloud, delivering six 9s of continuous availability to global organizations. As a Systems Software Engineer on our Core Engineering team, you will design and scale critical distributed infrastructure handling massive data volumes under rigorous latency constraints. Partnering closely with multi-functional engineering teams, you will shepherd complex technical initiatives from design to production rollout, directly expanding the capabilities and resilience of our platform.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Architect Resilient Distributed Systems: Design, implement, and optimize mission-critical platform components—spanning distributed consensus, concurrency control, and fault-tolerant storage—to sustain seamless six 9s availability and ultra-low latency for global enterprise workloads.

Lead High-Impact Technical Initiatives: Drive core platform capabilities from technical design and prototyping through production rollout, partnering with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable software that expands our cloud infrastructure.

Tackle Complex Systems Challenges: Analyze and resolve multi-faceted issues across resource scheduling, data durability, and hardware-software bottlenecks, ensuring robust system predictability and throughput under peak customer demands.

Champion Engineering Quality & Mentorship: Elevate team-wide engineering practices through thoughtful architectural discussions, thorough code reviews, and cross-team collaboration, cultivating an inclusive environment of continuous learning and technical innovation.

WHAT YOU BRING

Core Systems Programming: Proficiency in writing modern, high-performance, and concurrent C++, with a focus on code clarity, maintainability, and testing discipline.

Distributed Systems & OS Fundamentals: Solid foundation in distributed systems concepts (such as consistency models, replication, and fault recovery) and Linux systems internals (including memory management, multi-threading, and I/O performance).

Analytical Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to dissect complex architectural problems, debug distributed anomalies across system layers, and make balanced technical trade-offs between performance, simplicity, and reliability.

Collaborative Technical Execution: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an eagerness to share knowledge, align across functional engineering teams, and deliver impactful technical solutions together.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is:

$149,000—$359,000 USD
