Who You Are
You’re hands-on with data platforms and production workflows. You troubleshoot problems, improve how systems operate, and take ownership from investigation through resolution. You’re comfortable making progress independently and working closely with a small data team.
About The Role
This role reports to the Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics and works closely with data engineers and analysts to operate and secure the data platform. You will manage workflows, pipelines, integrations, access, and platform configuration; monitor and resolve operational issues; and support testing and release practices. You will also document ownership, procedures, and recovery steps to keep the platform reliable as the company grows.
Other responsibilities include
- Implement and maintain Airflow workflows, including scheduling, dependencies, monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting.
- Build and support data pipelines and integrations across the data platform (warehouse, transformation layer, code repository, etc).
- Configure and maintain platform environments, integrations, and settings.
- Administer users, roles, permissions, and service accounts; apply least-privilege access and secure credential practices, including row-level security.
- Monitor pipeline freshness, volume, and failures; investigate issues, restore service, and prevent recurring problems.
- Support GitHub, CI/CD, testing, and documented release practices for platform and pipeline changes.
- Assess downstream effects of access and configuration changes; coordinate with analytics engineers and analysts.
- Document operational procedures, ownership, and recovery steps as the environment grows.
- Identify and escalate security risks to the appropriate Executive Leadership Team member and actively contribute to remediation efforts
- Other duties as assigned

- Experience with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, alerting, and recovery
- Experience building scalable data systems and pipelines
- Experience configuring platform environments, integrations, users, roles, permissions, and service accounts
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative testing and release practices
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and follow-through
- Ability to coordinate platform changes with analytics engineers and analysts, including assessing downstream effects
- Complete ongoing security awareness training and comply with company policies
- Experience with Airflow, Snowflake, and Fivetran
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure services
- Familiarity with Power BI refreshes and their data platform dependencies
- Experience implementing CI/CD or automated testing
- Familiarity with APIs, OAuth, service accounts, and secure credential management
- Experience supporting a growing company with evolving systems or acquisitions
- IT, VAR, distribution, or supply chain data experience
What Success Looks Like
- Workflow failures, stale data, and unusual changes in data volume are detected and addressed promptly
- Platform configurations, integrations, and access are managed consistently and securely
- Ingestion workflows have clear owners, documentation, and recovery steps
- New sources and integrations can be set up through a repeatable process
- Platform and pipeline changes are tested, documented, and coordinated with the teams responsible for downstream models and reports
- Analytics engineers and analysts can rely on stable, timely data and platform services
- Platform operations do not depend on undocumented knowledge held by one person
