IMC is seeking a Head of Procurement, APAC to lead the procurement function across the Asia Pacific region. This is a newly created role reporting into the APAC CFO, with a dotted line to the Global Head of Procurement. The successful candidate will own regional procurement strategy, build and lead the APAC team, and act as the senior commercial partner to the business across technology, infrastructure and corporate spend.

The role owns the commercial outcomes, supplier relationships and procurement execution that APAC depends on, with direct accountability to regional leadership. It is also one of IMC's regional procurement leads and is expected to help shape and then adopt a shared operating model, so that IMC negotiates as one firm with suppliers who serve it in every region.

The role covers procurement across all APAC categories. Corporate and indirect spend is already well covered by an established team, so the emphasis of this hire is IT and technology procurement. IMC's technology spend is growing quickly and is concentrated in seller-led markets: data centres and exchange colocation, compute and GPU infrastructure, networking, low-latency connectivity, market data and enterprise software. The successful candidate brings real depth in these categories and the commercial judgement to negotiate at scale in them.

Core Responsibilities

Regional leadership

  • Own procurement strategy for APAC, aligned to regional business priorities and to the global procurement operating model.
  • Act as the senior procurement partner to APAC leadership, including the regional CFO and technology leadership, on all significant commercial decisions.
  • Build, lead and develop the APAC procurement team. Set priorities and coverage, and raise the capability of the function over time.
  • Represent APAC in global procurement forums and own the regional input into global category strategies and supplier negotiations.

Technology and infrastructure sourcing

  • Lead sourcing and negotiation across IT categories: data centres and colocation, compute and GPU infrastructure, networking hardware, low-latency connectivity, cross-connects and telecommunications, market data, and enterprise software and cloud.
  • Partner daily with engineering, platform, data centre and infrastructure teams to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies and commercial outcomes.
  • Run structured RFI, RFP and RFQ processes: define requirements, evaluate responses, and drive to a documented award recommendation.
  • Negotiate OEM, VAR and reseller agreements covering pricing, lead times, allocation, service levels and lifecycle support.
  • Track supply constraints, OEM roadmaps, allocation dynamics and pricing trends across the region, and turn that into actionable intelligence for stakeholders.
  • Own the logistics of regional hardware procurement, including freight, customs and import duties, delivery to site, and the entity and invoicing structure for cross-border purchases.

Commercial negotiation and contracting

  • Lead negotiations on the region's most significant agreements, including multi-year commitments, renewals and enterprise frameworks.
  • Surface and manage commercial risk in contract terms, including commitment and shortfall structures, auto-renewal and notice windows, termination rights, guarantees and liability provisions.
  • Work with Legal, Finance, Risk and Compliance to finalise terms through IMC's contract intake and review process.
  • Maintain visibility of renewal and expiry dates across the regional portfolio, so that no agreement renews by default.

Governance, data and process

  • Own accurate regional data on spend, contracts, suppliers and pipeline, and contribute it to the global reporting standard.
  • Report on savings, spend against budget and supplier performance.
  • Review and strengthen commercial and procurement processes across the region, including policy, approval thresholds and workflows, keeping them consistent with global standards and with local legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive the use of AI, automation and tooling to streamline procurement, including intake, sourcing, contract review and spend analysis, so the function scales with IMC's growth.
