About Gruve

Gruve is an innovative software services startup dedicated to transforming enterprises to AI powerhouses. We specialize in cybersecurity, customer experience, cloud infrastructure, and advanced technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs). Our mission is to assist our customers in their business strategies utilizing their data to make more intelligent decisions. As a well-funded early-stage startup, Gruve offers a dynamic environment with strong customer and partner networks.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to acquire new enterprise customers and grow Gruve’s cybersecurity business in Singapore.

This is a hands-on hunting role for someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships, creating opportunities, and closing business. You will own the full sales cycle—from identifying target accounts and initiating conversations to negotiating contracts and securing new customer engagements.

The role focuses exclusively on cybersecurity services, including managed security services, security operations and managed detection and response, cybersecurity consulting, assessments, and advisory services. You will work closely with our cybersecurity specialists and delivery teams to develop solutions that address customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire new customers: Identify, engage, and win new enterprise accounts in Singapore.
  • Build your pipeline: Generate opportunities through direct outreach, professional relationships, referrals, events, and collaboration with technology and channel partners.
  • Develop account strategies: Prioritize target organizations, map decision-makers, and create clear plans to secure initial engagements.
  • Engage senior stakeholders: Build trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, security leaders, procurement teams, and business executives.
  • Lead consultative sales conversations: Understand customers’ security challenges, business priorities, budgets, and buying processes, and connect these to relevant Gruve services.
  • Own the sales cycle: Lead qualification, discovery, proposals, commercial negotiations, and closure, coordinating with technical and delivery teams throughout.
  • Develop compelling proposals: Work with cybersecurity specialists to define scope, customer outcomes, pricing, and statements of work.
  • Deliver commercial results: Meet agreed targets for new customer acquisition, cybersecurity services revenue, and deal profitability.
  • Maintain sales discipline: Keep opportunities, next steps, forecasts, and account information accurate and current in the CRM.
  • Enable successful delivery: Ensure a clear handover of customer expectations, contractual commitments, and engagement scope to delivery teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum eight years of enterprise sales experience, with a strong track record selling cybersecurity services.
  • Demonstrated success personally acquiring new enterprise customers in Singapore, from initial prospecting through contract closure.
  • Established relationships with enterprise security and technology decision-makers in Singapore.
  • Experience selling managed security services, cybersecurity professional services, or security assessment and advisory engagements.
  • Ability to build a qualified pipeline through proactive prospecting and relationship development.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving technical evaluation, multiple stakeholders, procurement, and commercial negotiations.
  • Working understanding of cybersecurity services, including security operations, detection and response, identity and access management, and governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical, delivery, and partner teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling cybersecurity services to multinational enterprises or regulated organizations.
  • Experience establishing business in a new territory or developing a customer base for a growing services company.
