At E Tech Group, joining our team means joining a group of passionate and forward-thinking experts. We’re one of the largest engineering and system integration firms in the United States providing value for our clients through IT automation and control solutions for more than 30 years to the Life Sciences, Mission Critical, Metals & Mining, Warehousing & Distribution, and CPG/Food & Beverage industries. Our national and global scale allows us to help our clients develop and implement standardized solutions at any of their facilities regardless of physical location or the local resources available at that site.

Join E Tech Group as a Project Manager delivering automation and controls systems for a data center project—from planning through commissioning and closeout. You'll coordinate the technical and field teams while owning scope, schedule, cost, resources, and client expectations.

You will take a leadership role in developing project proposals and vetting project cost estimates. You will develop and communicate a clear understanding of the client’s project goals and maintain the company’s alignment to these goals, enabling your team to exceed client expectations and budgeted profitability.

As a Project Manager, You Will

  • Manage assigned data center automation and controls projects from planning through closeout.
  • Own project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change management while proactively identifying and resolving issues that could impact data center project delivery, contractual requirements, or client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, forecasts, and procurement needs.
  • Coordinate clients, controls engineers, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, commissioning personnel, and other stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
  • Manage project changes while maintaining accurate forecasts, documentation, and commercial accountability.
  • Communicate project status, schedule, financial performance, risks, decisions, and action items clearly to clients and E Tech Group leadership.
  • Lead technically challenging projects in a high-growth mission critical market.
  • Influence delivery from proposal and planning through commissioning and closeout.
  • Work with multidisciplinary automation, controls, engineering, and commissioning teams.
  • Build client relationships while owning project strategy and commercial outcomes.
  • Be an ambassador who embodies our Core Values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates.

You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of project management, project engineering, or related project delivery experience in engineering, construction, automation, controls, or similar technical environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, risk, and change management.
  • Experience coordinating technical teams, subcontractors, vendors, and field resources to meet project requirements and milestones.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, engineers, contractors, field teams, and project leadership.
  • Ability to prioritize issues and drive resolution through strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to support a hybrid work arrangement consisting of approximately 50% remote and 50% onsite in the Greater Columbus Area, Ohio.
  • A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.

You May Have

  • Project management experience supporting data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
  • Experience managing industrial automation, controls, electrical, or system integration projects.
  • Familiarity with PLC, HMI, SCADA, BMS, EPMS, instrumentation, or related facility control systems.
