Head of Enterprise Accounts, Australia
Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together.
So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.
Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.
The Role
Square has an established enterprise presence in Australia, supporting businesses including Thisbowl, The Pancake Parlour, and Brunetti Oro with technology that connects payments, commerce, and operations. You’ll lead our enterprise account management team, with accountability for growing and retaining our existing customer portfolio - and building on that foundation to deliver Square’s next phase of enterprise growth.
This is a player-coach role. You’ll set the commercial direction, lead and develop your account managers, and stay directly involved in strategic opportunities. You’ll bring commercial judgement and practical leadership to complex account strategies, executive relationships, and negotiations.
With significant growth potential ahead, you’ll have the opportunity to shape an important part of Square’s Australian business. The role offers high visibility among global leaders, direct engagement with global teams, and scope to influence Square’s global enterprise approach. You’ll combine meaningful commercial responsibility with the opportunity to progress your career as the business scales.
You Will

- Apply sound commercial judgement. Balance growth, retention, pricing, and account economics. Work with Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to reach agreements that create value for customers and Square.
- Navigate a distributed global organisation. Align colleagues in Australia and across global teams, including Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, Risk, Finance, and Legal. Resolve competing priorities and secure the decisions needed to deliver for enterprise customers.
- Shape Square’s enterprise priorities in Australia. Bring a clear view of customer needs, competitive dynamics, and portfolio risks. Turn that insight into recommendations that inform product and commercial decisions.
