We are seeking a motivated Product Intelligence, Engineering Intern to join our team developing AI/ML analytics applications for semiconductor manufacturing. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience building software used in advanced manufacturing environments while working alongside experienced engineers.

As an intern, you’ll contribute to real development projects, learn how scalable backend systems are designed and tested, and gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle. You’ll work with technologies such as Go, Python, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, gRPC, Linux, and containerized applications, while learning how software and AI/ML are applied to semiconductor manufacturing.

Throughout the internship, you’ll receive guidance and mentorship from experienced engineers while taking ownership of a defined project or set of technical deliverables.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to the design, development, and testing of backend services supporting our AI/ML analytics platform.
  • Work on a defined internship project with meaningful technical deliverables and business impact.
  • Write clean, reliable, and well-tested code with support and feedback from experienced engineers.
  • Gain hands-on experience working with large-scale telemetry and manufacturing equipment data.
  • Assist with developing and improving APIs, data pipelines, backend services, and application functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Learn how software is developed and deployed in secure semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Collaborate with software, product, field, and engineering teams to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Document your work, technical approach, testing, and project outcomes.
  • Present your internship project, key learnings, and results to the team at the conclusion of the internship.

What You’ll Need

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • Programming experience through coursework, research, personal projects, previous internships, or similar hands-on work.
  • Experience with or interest in learning Go and/or Python.
  • Understanding of software development fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, APIs, databases, and version control.
  • Familiarity with Linux and database technologies such as PostgreSQL is a plus.
  • Interest in backend development, distributed systems, data-intensive applications, or AI/ML.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and communicate technical ideas clearly.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and an interest in taking ownership of a meaningful technical project.

Nice to Have

  • Previous coursework, research, or project experience involving AI/ML applications.
  • Exposure to technologies such as Go, Python, PostgreSQL, gRPC, Kafka, Redis, Docker, C#, or C++.
  • Experience with cloud, containerized, distributed, or data-intensive applications.
  • Familiarity with React, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
  • Experience working with time-series or high-volume datasets.
  • Exposure to or interest in semiconductor manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, or engineering technology.
  • Previous technical internship, research, lab, or software project experience.
