It's a new day with a new opportunity at 8am!

About the role

8am is looking for a Salesforce Administrator to own the configuration, design, and functionality of the Salesforce platform that Sales, Marketing, and Customer Operations rely on every day. You’ll have a real impact on how efficiently the whole company works and be a key voice in shaping our systems strategy as we grow.

You’re Salesforce certified, fluent in API-based integrations, and just as comfortable explaining things to non-technical teammates as working through details with engineers. You think like an owner, build for the long term, and love going above and beyond for the people you support.

About us

At 8am, our vision is to power a world where professionals thrive. We start every day on a mission to empower professionals with the most trusted, innovative technology to deliver world-class outcomes for their clients and exceptional financial results for their business. They count on our purpose-built solutions to simplify operations, ensure compliance, and fuel profitable growth, so they can focus on their clients and do more of the work that matters.

Founded in 2005, 8am™ (formerly AffiniPay) is the professional business platform built to help legal, accounting, and other client-focused professionals run stronger, more profitable businesses. Today, more than 250,000 professionals across the U.S. trust 8am to help them work smarter, serve clients better, and unlock their full potential. We have been recognized as one of Inc 5000’s fastest growing companies in the U.S. for 13 years in a row, and as a result, our teams continue to grow as well!

What you'll do

  • Own day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and customization of our Salesforce instance and its integrations.
  • Partner with stakeholders end to end: uncover the real problem, translate requirements into clear technical designs, balance priorities, and drive a successful launch.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in business process design: evaluate how teams work today, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and redesign processes so that Salesforce supports them rather than just mirroring them.
  • Design, build, and maintain a scalable, well-governed org architecture, applying best practices to the data model, page layouts, validation rules, and automation.
  • Build with Flow and declarative tools first, make sound build-versus-code decisions, and partner with developers or contribute to Apex and Lightning Web Components when code is the better fit.
  • Manage profiles, roles, permission sets, and sharing settings to uphold high security standards.
  • Deliver fast, friendly user support and monitor data quality and system health, tracing issues to the root cause and implementing permanent fixes.
  • Run a disciplined change management process: every change is documented, reviewed, and approved before moving through QA, UAT, and production.
  • Own release quality through test plans and functional, regression, and UAT testing before anything reaches production.
  • Identify and adopt practical AI capabilities, in Salesforce and beyond, to improve admin productivity and user outcomes.
  • Keep documentation current, build training that grows Salesforce skills across 8am, and collaborate with admins, developers, operations, and enablement teams.
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases and recommend improvements with a long-term mindset.

About you

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator, with Salesforce Administrator certification preferred (Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder a plus).
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and the ability to understand how teams work and translate their needs into well-defined, testable solutions.
  • Ability to diagnose issues to the root cause, prioritize competing requests, and deliver lasting fixes.
