Job Summary

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our client's core infrastructure and full-stack platform engineering team, helping build, maintain, and improve the cloud platform that powers its data and software products. The role focuses on managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure using Terraform, enhancing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and secure OIDC authentication, and ensuring reliable, secure, and repeatable deployment workflows. The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting infrastructure and pipeline issues independently, identifying root causes, improving operational processes, and documenting technical solutions. Working closely with senior engineers, the engineer will gradually take ownership of production release support while developing the technical expertise and autonomy needed to grow into senior-level responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure using Terraform across multiple environments and projects.

Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, primarily using GitHub Actions and OIDC-based keyless cloud authentication.

Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and pipeline issues, identify root causes, and implement or document effective solutions.

Support DevOps incidents, operational requests, and production releases as responsibilities expand after onboarding.

Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, handoff notes, and design documents.

Review infrastructure changes proposed by other engineers and identify potential risks or areas for improvement.

Identify weaknesses in existing systems and operational processes and recommend practical, evidence-based improvements.

Collaborate with infrastructure and full-stack platform engineers to ensure reliable, secure, and repeatable deployment workflows.

Use logs, tests, metrics, and other technical evidence to investigate issues and guide decisions.

Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve planning, code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.

Gradually take greater ownership of infrastructure improvements, production support, and technical decision-making.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

4–6 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.

Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.

Experience working with at least one major cloud provider, with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) strongly preferred.
