About the Role

Join a collaborative corporate practice as a mid-level M&A and private equity associate. You will lead transactions from due diligence through closing while advising clients on general corporate matters and working closely with partners.

What You'll Do

Run M&A transactions end-to-end, from due diligence through closing.

Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, merger agreements, and financing documents.

Manage due diligence processes and support private equity sponsors and portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle.

Advise clients on entity formation, corporate structuring, and ongoing corporate matters.

Work directly with clients and partners across multiple matters.

What We're Looking For

Four to eight years of M&A or private equity transactional experience at a law firm, with the ability to independently run deals.

Experience with private equity-sponsored transactions, due diligence, and transaction documentation.

Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements.

A Juris Doctor degree and a license to practice law in Missouri, or willingness to obtain one.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple client relationships and matters.

General corporate experience, such as entity formation and structuring, is helpful. Experience with debt financings, equity structuring, or cross-border transactions is also relevant.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $205,000 to $285,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
