About the role

You'll own regulatory license application projects for Salmon, managing submissions to the BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas), the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission), and other regulators as the company expands its licensed products and geographies. This is a hands-on role for someone who goes deep into the detail, drafts the materials themselves, and keeps applications moving.

What you'll do

Work within a small, dedicated licensing function, coordinating across legal, compliance, finance, product, and PMO teams to move license applications forward

Serve as the primary on-the-ground point of contact in Manila for licensing projects, working closely with a remote team lead

Navigate regulatory back-and-forth: drafting responses, tracking open items, and keeping stakeholders aligned across multiple concurrent applications

Keep applications on track by explaining the regulatory context and requirements behind each request, so stakeholders understand what is needed and why, and escalating with clear facts and impact when inputs are blocked

What you'll own

End-to-end management of regulatory license applications, from initial pack preparation through regulator approval

Drafting application documentation yourself (application letters, governance materials, and corporate documents), bringing in the relevant stakeholders for input/support where needed and sign-off

Timelines, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple license projects simultaneously, pushing stakeholders to deliver on time and escalating risks early

Coordination with legal, compliance, finance, and business owners to gather inputs and ensure submissions are accurate and complete

Ongoing communication with regulators, tracking questions, comments, and required follow-ups through to closure

Supporting the transition of licensing projects from the PMO team into the dedicated licensing function

What makes you a strong fit

3-5 years of experience combining legal, regulatory, and project management work on complex, multi-stakeholder projects in financial services or fintech

Hands-on experience with license applications for financial activities (e.g. banking, e-money/payments, securities/trading, lending) or comparable fintech regulatory projects, at a bank, payment company, EMI, trading firm, or financial institution, or through law firm or Big Four advisory work in financial services

Strong drafting skills: you're comfortable reading regulations, interpreting requirements, and writing submission-ready documents

Detail-oriented, with the ability to spot gaps and inconsistencies before the regulator does

Confident and persistent with stakeholders at all levels: you explain the "why" behind each request with clear regulatory context and detail, follow up, push back, and escalate when needed, while keeping relationships constructive

Comfortable working with Confluence, JIRA, and Slack as core operating tools

Relocation to Manila is required
