A Project Management Office (PMO) Manager defines, maintains, and ensures governance, standardization, and execution across all customer projects and pods. Acting as the strategic bridge between organization leadership and project delivery teams, the PMO Manager establishes best-practice methodologies (such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks) to maximize business value, manage enterprise capacity, and optimize resource performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership Connect & Executive Partnership

Serve as the primary liaison between corporate executives, business units, and project execution teams to drive strategic alignment.

Run Leadership Connect framework, facilitating executive steering committees, MBRs, QBRs, portfolio reviews, and prioritization alignment sessions.

2. Agile Governance & Ceremony Facilitation

Standardize, govern, and continuously optimize Agile frameworks and ceremonies (including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) across cross-functional teams.

Coach POD Leads, and product owners to ensure ceremonies remain productive, structured, and outcome oriented.

Resolve delivery blockers surfaced during daily ceremonies by unblocking resources and alignment paths.

3. Advanced Reporting & KPI Dashboards

Design, build, and maintain real-time KPI dashboards providing comprehensive oversight into project status, velocity, milestones, and financial health.

Leverage advanced platforms to generate high-impact executive reports and data-driven narratives for senior leadership to drive prompt strategic decisions.

Establish data visualization standards to turn granular operational metrics into clean, scannable summaries for the executive board.

4. Capacity Planning & Resource Management

Cross-functionally model resource allocations to ensure talent is matched with high-priority projects.

Identify inter-project dependencies, resolving resource scheduling conflicts and avoiding staff bottlenecks or burnout.

Directly line-manage, recruit, and upskill PMO personnel, analysts, and project managers.

5. Timesheet Tracking & Data Hygiene

Enforce a rigorous timesheet compliance and data hygiene program to ensure highly accurate actual-hours tracking across the portfolio.

Audit time-tracking metrics regularly to accurately calculate project burn rates, utilization metrics, and overall capital expenditure.

6. Regular Staff Communication & Alignment

Establish structured, recurring communication cadences (e.g., all-hands updates, newsletters, town halls) to cascade PMO strategic initiatives down to project delivery teams.

Provide regular feedback, clear updates on organizational pivots, and procedural training to keep project staff aligned with corporate goals.
