Commercial Business Development Analyst
At REGENT, we’re on a mission to revolutionize regional transportation between coastal cities. We're not just building vehicles, we're creating a new category of transportation: the Seaglider. These groundbreaking wing-in-ground-effect craft travel just above the water’s surface, combining the speed of an airplane with the low operating costs of a boat. Capable of 180 miles at 180 mph on today's battery tech (and up to 400 miles with next-gen batteries), Seagliders will unlock fast, affordable, and sustainable coastal transit for passengers and cargo - connecting cities, islands, and communities like never before.
Backed by leading investors and powered by a team of passionate, forward-thinking engineers, builders, and operators, we’re now scaling from a breakthrough prototype to full production - and building the team to make it happen.
Role Overview
REGENT is reinventing coastal transportation with the Seaglider, and the Sales & Marketing team is where the technical story of that product meets the commercial reality of bringing it to market. We're looking for a Commercial Business Development Analyst to join that team, someone who can build the financial models and business cases that inform how airlines, operators, and ecosystem partners think about the Seaglider, and then stand in front of a room and explain that work with clarity and polish. One week might mean building a P&L model or cost forecast from scratch with limited direction, and the next might mean representing REGENT at an industry conference or speaking engagement halfway around the world.
This role sits at the center of a lot of REGENT's external-facing commercial work, which means you'll move fluidly between fast-turnaround internal deliverables and polished, technically fluent external representation, often within the same week. You'll partner closely with teammates across the data, sales, ecosystems, and marketing functions, and you'll have real ownership over how REGENT's commercial story gets told in rooms that matter.
If you're the kind of person who thrives on turning ambiguity into structure, takes genuine pride in a beautifully built deck or model, and gets energy from representing a mission you believe in out in the world, this is a role where you'll do some of your best work.
*Note: This role is fully on-site in Rhode Island.
What You'll Do
Build the Business Case: You'll construct financial models, cost analyses, and P&L forecasts that help shape how REGENT and its partners evaluate commercial opportunities. More than half of your work will live in this kind of modeling, so you'll become a go-to voice on the numbers behind the story.
Craft Polished Deliverables: You'll produce decks, documents, and analyses in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel that are ready to go in front of executives, partners, and prospective customers. These materials are often how REGENT's commercial thinking gets seen, so the bar for quality is high.
Navigate Ambiguity With Structure: Many of the projects you'll take on will start vague and move fast, often with turnaround measured in days rather than weeks. You'll bring your own structure and judgment to these projects rather than waiting for a fully defined brief.
Collaborate Across Teams: You'll work closely with teammates across sales, marketing, and commercial functions, and your communication skills will be essential to how information flows between them. You'll be a connective voice that helps technical and commercial perspectives understand each other.
Support the Sales Engine: You'll work directly with the sales team and help maintain and use CRM tools like Pipedrive to keep commercial pipeline and partner relationships organized. Over time, you'll become fluent in how this data connects to the broader commercial strategy.
Grow With New Tools: You'll bring familiarity with Python and AI into your daily workflow and help the team explore how these tools can make commercial analysis faster and sharper. As REGENT's tools evolve, you'll be part of shaping how the team uses them.
