Product Manager, Case Execution
About Pivotal Health
Pivotal Health is the leading technology platform that helps healthcare providers get paid fairly in an increasingly complex reimbursement landscape.
Today, many providers face persistent underpayment from health insurance companies, despite delivering high-quality care. While processes like IDR (Independent Dispute Resolution) were designed to promote fairness, they’re often administrative-heavy, time-consuming, and difficult to navigate without the right tools.
Pivotal Health combines software, data, and service into a seamlessly integrated, AI-driven platform that simplifies these complex reimbursement workflows. We help providers efficiently dispute underpaid claims, reduce administrative burden, and recover the reimbursement they’re entitled to; without adding more work to already stretched teams.
Our full-service IDR solution is just the starting point. We’re building solutions that enable providers to operate with clarity, control, and confidence across the reimbursement journey.
About the Role
We're hiring a Product Manager to join Pivotal's Case Execution team and help build the systems that move eligible healthcare claims through the Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) process. You'll partner closely with product, operations, and engineering to improve core workflows across eligibility, claim batching, negotiation, and arbitration, helping more claims reach resolution and improving outcomes for healthcare providers.
This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys investigating complex problems, working directly with data, and owning initiatives from discovery through launch and measurement. Your work will span federal and state arbitration workflows, with opportunities to uncover operational challenges, identify where technology can make the greatest impact, and deliver practical solutions. You'll learn from an experienced product leader while taking ownership of defined initiatives, with room to grow into a dedicated product area and engineering partnership.
What You’ll Do
Own product initiatives from discovery through delivery: Investigate problems, define requirements, prioritize solutions, and partner with engineering to launch improvements. Measure results and drive further iteration.
Understand and improve case execution workflows: Work closely with operations to understand how claims move through federal and state IDR processes. Identify manual steps, exceptions, bottlenecks, and processes that need to evolve as the business scales.
Use data to guide product decisions: Write SQL queries, learn our data models, and conduct your own analysis to understand claim funnel performance, quantify opportunities, and evaluate the impact of product changes.
Turn complex problems into clear product direction: Distill stakeholder input, operational details, and analytical findings into focused problem statements, actionable requirements, and clear measures of success.
Prioritize practical, incremental solutions: Break large problems into manageable releases, weigh business impact against effort, and make thoughtful tradeoffs as priorities shift across federal and state workflows.
Drive progress across teams: Align product, operations, and engineering on decisions, dependencies, and next steps. Communicate clearly, surface blockers early, and keep initiatives moving through consistent follow-through.
Who You Are
Approximately 2–5 years of experience in product management, strategy and operations, business operations, or a similarly analytical role with meaningful ownership of cross-functional initiatives
Strong SQL skills, with the ability to independently query data, investigate unfamiliar tables, validate findings, and use analysis to inform decisions
Experience taking a complex, ambiguous problem from initial investigation through a delivered solution and measurable results
Comfortable partnering directly with engineering and operational stakeholders to translate business needs into product or workflow improvements
Resourceful and self-directed: you seek out answers, test assumptions, and make progress independently while knowing when to ask for help
