About the Team

Nu's Finance organization is structured into functional areas that together safeguard financial stability, compliance and strategic decision-making. Most core finance functions operate under a dual reporting structure — reporting directly into the global Finance team, with a dotted line to the business they support — which keeps us close to the operation while holding a consistent global standard.

Within Finance, FP&A owns budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning, and acts as the analytical partner behind the company's biggest decisions. The team drives profitable growth by improving visibility, forecasting quality, consolidation and analysis of results and key metrics, translating them into insights and recommended actions for senior management. It also defines the performance metrics that create accountability and ownership across FP&A and the business units — tracking them consistently to measure progress, monitor KPIs and drive cost optimization.

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Credit Products FP&A to be the finance owner for Nu's consumer and small business credit businesses across all markets – Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, the United States, and the geographies we enter next. Credit is the engine that powers Nubank's economics, and this role is the person leadership turns to when the question is how that engine actually behaves: what drives revenue, what drives losses, and how the two reconcile into a single view of each product.

The scope covers every credit product we offer, including credit card, personal loans, and other lending products, and it will grow as Nu launches new products and enters new markets. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and consistent exposure to senior leadership, including the executives who run these businesses. You will be expected to hold a position when the analysis supports it, push back with evidence, and take direct feedback.

This role is about building as Nubank grows including reengineering how we model and forecast our credit businesses, starting with the economics of a single customer and building up to the portfolio P&L. You will also own the position Finance takes on those numbers with the Management Team. Doing that credibly requires deep, hands-on expertise in consumer credit: how portfolios originate, season, revolve, and lose money, and how pricing, underwriting, and funding decisions flow through to the P&L. Experience in Brazil, our largest market, is a plus.

You will lead a team of 15-20 finance professionals, set the standard for their work, and develop a deep talent pool, while staying close enough to the models and the data to challenge them on substance.

You’ll be Responsible for

Own the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles for Credit Card and Lending across all markets, with full accountability for the integrity of the numbers and for the position Finance takes on them with leadership.

Forecast and explain the net revenue and the credit economics of each product, from net interest income, funding cost, interchange, and fees to delinquency, provisioning, and loss, so that revenue and credit views reconcile into a single, defensible view of profitability.

Build consumer credit P&Ls and forecasting models from first principles, using cohort and vintage analysis to reflect how a portfolio actually behaves, and model how pricing, limit, underwriting, and funding decisions flow through to each product and to Nubank's consolidated P&L.

Own the partnership with Risk and loss forecasting, and be the authority across Finance on the drivers of consumer credit performance.
