About the Company

Our client is a family-owned and operated sports lifestyle brand based in Connecticut, USA, offering sports-themed apparel, accessories, and gifts for athletes, coaches, teams, and fans. Inspired by a family's involvement in youth hockey and lacrosse, the business grew from hand-packed orders in a family garage into a brand that celebrates the passion and community surrounding sports.

Through its online store, the company offers products ranging from sport-specific clothing and socks to bags, drinkware, frames, and coach and team gifts. Its focus is on creating thoughtful, high-quality products that help players and sports families express their love of the game, both on and off the field.

About the Role

We are in search of a hands-on Digital Ad Manager who will manage and optimize our client's paid advertising across Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google. You will develop paid media strategies, launch and schedule campaigns, manage budgets, and analyze performance to drive eCommerce sales and improve return on ad spend. Working closely with the design and marketing teams, you will align campaigns with product launches, seasonal promotions, and sports calendars while continually testing creative, audiences, and landing pages to improve results.

Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

Build and own the paid media strategy for Meta and Google, matched to business goals, product launches, seasonal promotions and key sales dates

Define target audiences, campaign structure, budgets and KPIs (ROAS, CPA, CTR, conversion rate)

Plan a monthly and quarterly ad calendar around launches, holidays and sports seasons

Research competitors and industry trends to find new opportunities

Campaign setup and scheduling

Set up, launch and schedule campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display, YouTube)

Build audiences: custom, lookalike, retargeting and keyword targeting

Work with the design and marketing teams on ad creative, copy and landing pages

Make sure tracking is set up correctly: Meta Pixel and Conversions API, Google Tag Manager, GA4 and conversion events

Keep ad accounts organized, with clear naming conventions and budget controls

Optimization

Monitor campaigns daily and adjust bids, budgets, targeting and placements

Run ongoing A/B tests on creative, copy, audiences and landing pages

Find underperforming ads quickly, pause them and move budget to what's working

Manage spend pacing so budgets aren't overspent or underspent

Recommend creative updates based on performance data and signs of ad fatigue

Reporting and analysis

Produce weekly performance reports and monthly summaries on spend, revenue, ROAS, CPA, conversions and key insights

Present results to leadership in plain language, covering what worked, what didn't and next steps

Build and maintain dashboards in GA4, Looker Studio or similar

Track results against goals and forecast future spend and returns

Competencies and Qualifications

Must-Have

3+ years managing paid campaigns on Meta and Google Ads, ideally for e-commerce, retail or consumer brands

Proven record of managing monthly budgets and improving ROAS or CPA

Strong working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, GA4 and Google Tag Manager

Experience with conversion tracking, attribution and audience segmentation

Comfortable with data: Excel or Google Sheets, building reports, reading trends

Organized and deadline-driven, able to manage several campaigns and launches at once

Clear communicator who can explain results to people who aren't marketers

Nice-to-Have

Google Ads and Meta Blueprint certifications

Experience with TikTok Ads, Pinterest or Amazon Ads

Shopify or e-commerce platform experience

Background in sports, apparel or promotional products

Basic design skills (Canva or Adobe) for quick ad updates

Application Process

We understand that searching for a new job can be challenging, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. Our goal is to make the process as transparent and respectful as possible.
