The Role

Grow and manage the Indirect Channel in your territory, covering dealer shops and community shops. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager and deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly targets while upholding M-KOPA’s brand and retail standards in every shop, including no unofficial customer fees.

About Us

M-KOPA is a pan-African fintech providing asset financing and credit services across Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. We serve 10 million customers and have extended over $2 billion in credit, giving people access to products they could not previously finance.

This is a on-site role, you would be working from our offices in Ghana, partnering with a diverse group of employees from our different markets and locations across the UK, Europe and Africa. You will be reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.

What You'll Do

Lead and coach Cluster Leaders, holding them accountable for cluster results, and work through them to recruit, train and supervise DSRs

Recruit and onboard dealer and community shops, and follow each one until its first sale

Focus coaching on high-potential and slipping shops, and agree recovery plans or recommend exit for inactive ones

Build strong relationships with key shop owners and retain our best partners against competitor offers

Design the sales and marketing plan for your territory, including local promotions

Enforce KYC, duplicate-ID checks and fee rules, and review early repayment signals with Credit and Collections

Manage DSR inventory, resolve audit recommendations, and report weekly on shop and team performance.

What You'll Need

A first degree or Higher National Diploma

At least 3 years of sales experience in Ghana in microfinance, insurance, telecommunications, mobile money, FMCG or similar products or services

Proven experience leading a multi-level field team, including supervisors or team leaders, and distribution partners such as retailers, agents or dealers

Excellent sales, negotiation, presentation and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and lead a wide range of people

Comfort using data and mobile apps to track performance and report

The honest part

This role has real targets every week, month and quarter, and you will be expected to stay calm under pressure. You will manage attrition, resolve conflict between team members, shops and agents, and travel regularly across your territory. Our standard on compliance is zero substantiated fee complaints. If you want growth that is built to last, this is the job.
