About Us

Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world’s best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar.

Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes.

2,100+ customers across 80+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We’ve scaled to $200M+ in ARR, with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI, Graceview, Cadastral, and Wexler.

We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law.

Joining Legora means three things.

We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions.

We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback.

We grow together: as a team and with our customers.

Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts.

If you’re driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place.

The Role

You will be the hands-on technical accounting expert who turns complex, fast-moving transactions into clear US GAAP conclusions that hold up under a PCAOB-standard audit. You will own accounting memos and policies, lead auditor discussions on the areas you own, and build the controls and documentation that let a young, global company report with confidence.

This is a builder role. Many of our policies are being written for the first time, our entity footprint is expanding across Europe, the Americas and APAC, and we are mid-ERP implementaion. You will shape how we account for all of it, not just maintain what exists.

What You’ll Do

Research, document and conclude on complex transactions under US GAAP, writing clear, audit-ready memos.

Own accounting policies for key areas, including revenue (ASC 606: contract modifications, credits and concessions, multi-element SaaS arrangements), leases (ASC 842, including incremental borrowing rate), stock-based compensation (ASC 718) and income taxes support (ASC 740) with our tax team.

Support business combination accounting (ASC 805): purchase price allocation, valuation coordination with third-party specialists, and post-acquisition integration of acquired entities.

Advise on intercompany and transfer pricing mechanics, foreign currency (ASC 830) and the accounting for new entities as we enter new markets.

Monitor new and emerging standards and assess their impact on Legora.

Act as a primary point of contact for our external auditors on your areas: prepare support, answer technical questions and resolve findings.

Manage and review the work of external technical accounting and valuation advisors, keeping deliverables on time and in scope.

Design and document controls over technical accounting areas and non-routine transactions, in partnership with internal audit.

What You Bring

7+ years of accounting experience, starting in Big 4, with a few years in a technical accounting or financial reporting role in industry.

CPA or an equivalent qualification.

Deep, current US GAAP knowledge, especially ASC 606, 842, 718 and 805, and a track record of writing memos that auditors accept.

Hands-on experience with PCAOB-standard audits and SOX or ICFR controls over technical areas.

Experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency group, including consolidation and intercompany.

Clear writing and the judgment to explain a complex position simply to auditors, executives and non-finance partners.

Comfort working with ambiguity in a fast-scaling company, and the drive to build processes from scratch.

Nice to have

Experience at a high-growth SaaS or AI company, or a SaaS-heavy audit client portfolio.

Public company, SEC reporting or large-scale financing experience.
