Job Description

Project Management owns the "throughput" of our organization. Balancing what we're required to deliver with our capacity for delivery, PMs always have their fingers on the pulse of Jellyfish. PMs partner directly with our clients to understand how best to deliver on their requirements, while facilitating Jellyfish people, process, and technology to most effectively and efficiently excel at digital marketing. Project managers are the champions of process in the organization; ensuring that it’s followed on our engagements and where necessary creating new processes to ensure the smooth delivery of marketing results for our clients, both internal and external.

Project managers are the COO to the Client Manager CEO. The PM & CM partnership is fundamental - and relies on the practicality, discipline, and ingenuity of the PM team. First and foremost, PMs are responsible for driving efficient execution on their projects. This is accomplished through tactical management of project deliverables as well as maintaining full financial control over the project. PMs also play a crucial role in both organic and net-new growth; whether bringing ideas to CM for both revenue growth and profitability improvement or supporting effective scoping of new work. Project managers become experts in their trade as well as develop into cross-discipline agency leaders, country leaders, and agency executives.

Responsibilities

Maintains basic project control and meets all project control KPIs for all assigned projects.

Escalates risks and issues to more senior members of the project management team.

Should interface with internal stakeholders on their project teams in the service of day-to-day delivery, but is not expected to leverage relationships outside of their billable project teams to execute projects.

Depending on the project complexity, typically not expected to play a meaningful role in client meetings at this stage of development, and should generally defer to Client Management on client communication.

Skills and Competencies

Is aware of our core products/capabilities and is working to understand product-specific PM skills. May have limited expertise in one or more core products/capabilities, but this is not a requirement at this level.

May require product/capability-specific support when performing more complex assignments unique to a product set (e.g., developing a software deployment plan).

Should have a solid awareness of project management fundamentals (e.g., schedule dependency and critical path) and can exercise them on a project with occasional guidance from more senior PMs.

Is not expected to share their knowledge with the team at this level of development.

Understands and adheres to PM Team Vision, Objectives, and Culture of Mutual Support.

Should be aware of team structure and strategy, but is not expected to provide direct support for PM Initiatives at this stage of development.
