Job Title: Project Manager – Residential Construction

Job Type: Full-time, Contract

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, U.S. Central Time

Compensation: $3,000–$3,500/month, depending on experience

Location: Latin America (Remote)

About the Company

Our client is a custom home builder based in Minnesota, specializing in high-quality residential construction projects. Operating with a small, collaborative team, the company focuses on building custom homes while maintaining strong relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, and construction partners.

The company typically manages multiple residential projects simultaneously, with each build involving detailed planning, budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, and construction oversight.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in residential construction, particularly custom or semi-custom home building.

This role focuses on overseeing the overall progress of multiple residential construction projects, ensuring that schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and internal teams remain aligned throughout the building process.

You will work closely with the Director of Construction, Design Manager, and company leadership to coordinate project activities, track progress, manage costs, and ensure that each project stays on schedule and within budget.

This is primarily a remote, project oversight and coordination role rather than a hands-on construction or field supervision position. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction project manager who can take ownership of project execution, anticipate potential issues, follow up with stakeholders, and keep everyone accountable.

Responsibilities

Manage residential construction projects from the construction planning stage through completion.

Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed construction schedules, ensuring subcontractors and internal teams meet project deadlines.

Oversee project budgets, review subcontractor bids, track costs, and monitor budget changes throughout the construction process.

Coordinate with the Director of Construction, Design Manager, and other internal stakeholders to keep project activities aligned.

Communicate directly with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to coordinate work, follow up on commitments, and resolve scheduling issues.

Track project milestones, permitting progress, material availability, and client selections to identify potential delays or bottlenecks.

Monitor change orders and their impact on project costs and timelines.

Maintain accurate project information, schedules, budgets, and documentation within Buildertrend or similar project management software.

Participate in internal project meetings and provide regular updates on project status, priorities, and potential risks.

Coordinate with the Design Manager to ensure client selections and design decisions are completed in time to support construction schedules and budgets.

Identify opportunities to improve internal workflows, project coordination, and operational processes.

Help develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistency and future team growth.

Requirements

7+ years of project management experience, preferably in residential construction.

Direct experience managing residential construction projects, with custom home or semi-custom home building experience strongly preferred.

Proven ability to manage construction schedules, budgets, subcontractor bids, and overall project progress.

Strong understanding of residential construction processes, building phases, construction terminology, and project workflows.

Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional internal teams.

Ability to track project costs, identify budget variances, and manage change orders.

Experience using construction project management software such as Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, Jobber, or similar platforms.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
