About the Company
Valon is the leading AI platform for mortgage servicing, building the AI-native operating system for regulated finance.
Before providing the system of record that powers the entire industry, we built and ran our own mortgage servicer on it. That gave us a real regulated environment to prove our technology could replace the mainframe systems servicers have used for decades. Carrington acquired that servicer and adopted ValonOS as its core platform, allowing us to focus entirely on scaling our SaaS platform.
ValonOS is now on track to power 1 in 6 U.S. mortgages across major mortgage servicers like Newrez, Carrington, and ServiceMac. Every process on the platform is structured and programmable, enabling our AI agents to perform core servicing work, like handling payments, escrow, and homeowner questions, directly within the system's controls.
We recently raised a $150 million Series D at a $2.3 billion valuation by new investor Ribbit Capital, with continued support from existing backer a16z, amongst others.
About the Role
Valon is rebuilding the mortgage servicing industry from the ground up. We're looking for a Data Implementation Manager to join our team and help us coordinate and launch complex data workstreams as part of our enterprise deployments that will revolutionize how mortgage servicers operate.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in coordinating efforts across multiple internal teams (data, deployment strategy, engineering, product) and numerous client stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication, and driving the successful delivery of our most critical initiatives.
Within Mortgage Servicing, data is the lifeblood of a company’s day to day operations. There are substantial reporting requirements and a strong business need for robust internal controls. Data is one of the primary drivers to the quality of overall servicing operations and operating efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Lead End-to-End Data Migration: Lead data workstreams on client engagements to ensure data is properly migrated and critical reports and data assets are ready for go-live.
Drive Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between data, deployment strategy, engineering, product, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
Optimize Deployment Processes: Proactively identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency, predictability, and scalability as we grow our deployment motion.
Manage Complex Stakeholder Dynamics: Organize, structure, and drive complex deployment workstreams. Proactively communicate program status, risks, and dependencies to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Mitigate Risks and Resolve Issues: Identify potential roadblocks and actively work to resolve technical, operational, and organizational challenges that may impact program delivery.
Define and Track Metrics: Establish clear success metrics for programs and regularly track progress, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
What You'll Bring
5+ years of experience as an Implementation Manager, Customer Success Manager, or PM in a fast-paced, complex software development environment.
Experience at companies deploying software, AI, or technology at large enterprises. Experience with long-term (6+ month) implementation or business transformation projects is a plus.
Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, cross-functional technical programs.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various agile methodologies.
Conceptual understanding of fundamental data concepts (schemas, databases) to be conversant with technical stakeholders at clients
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving startup environment.
Prior experience in a fintech team is a plus, but not required.
