About Fundamental

Fundamental is an AI research lab pioneering the future of enterprise decision-making. Our flagship model, NEXUS is the world's most powerful Large Tabular Model (LTM) - purpose-built for the structured records that contain trillions of dollars in business value. With $275m in funding from leading investors and trusted by Fortune 100 companies, Fundamental is giving businesses the Power to Predict.

At Fundamental, you'll work on unprecedented technical challenges in foundation model development and build technology that transforms how the world's largest companies make decisions. This is your opportunity to be part of a category-defining company from the ground-up. Join the team defining the future of enterprise AI.

About the role

Our People & Talent team is building from scratch to support a category shaping company that has rapidly grown and continues to hire at pace. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Talent, you will manage the full employee journey including pre-onboarding, onboarding, benefits, people development and day-to-day people operations.

At Fundamental we see people and talent operations as a core product, and you'll shape how everyone experiences it. We are energised to work alongside exceptionally talented people, so the care and support we offer should match that standard. This means creating seamless offers, smooth first-week onboardings, clear and meaningful career pathways, and proactive answers before anyone has to ask. You will have the space to rethink existing processes rather than just maintain them, and actively automate repetitive tasks. By removing manual work where possible, you will free up time to focus on the human touches that truly matter.

What makes this role so dynamic is our global context. Everything you design needs to feel personal, thoughtful, and clear, to the candidates and employees you support. While working asynchronously is necessary for us, staying connected and unified is something this role will intentionally foster.

What you'll do

Guide new team members through a seamless onboarding journey (from contract signing through their first months), ensuring everyone feels equally welcomed and supported

Carefully support key career and life milestones, including promotions, parental leave, relocations, and transitions, by coordinating smoothly behind the scenes with local partners

Maintain our People Ops stack so team members can rely on accurate, clear information about their roles and details, keeping key integrations aligned to remove friction across systems

Enhance and champion our benefits offerings, making sure every option is easy to understand, access, and appreciate across all regions

Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions, offering warm, prompt support while turning common inquiries into clearer documentation and simpler processes

Streamline repetitive tasks with thoughtful automation and AI tools, freeing up more time to focus on meaningful, personal human touchpoints

Foster an inclusive asynchronous workplace through intuitive self-serve guides and clear written communication that respects diverse time zones

Listen to employee feedback throughout the onboarding and lifecycle journey, using insights to continually refine and elevate the team experience

Collaborate with the Talent team to create a welcoming, cohesive transition from candidate experience to day-one onboarding

Nurture our distributed culture through performance development, engagement initiatives, and shared moments that bring people together

Ensure a safe, fair, and compliant environment across regions, handling sensitive matters with care and sound judgment

About you

Organised. You keep track of complex projects across multiple time zones without dropping the ball, and you prefer building reliable systems over relying on memory.

Thoughtful. You naturally put yourself in other people's shoes. Whether it is understanding a new hire's night-before nerves, giving a manager what they need to deliver feedback, or writing guidelines that are clear and accessible, you pay attention to the details that make people feel supported.
