Who We Are

AeroVect is transforming ground handling with autonomy, redefining how airlines and ground service providers around the globe run day-to-day operations. We are a Series A company backed by top-tier venture capital investors in aviation and autonomous driving. Our customers include some of the world’s largest airlines and ground handling providers. For more information, visit www.aerovect.com.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Systems Test Engineer with a passion for autonomy and safety-critical systems to help lead the planning, execution, and analysis of structured testing activities of our self-driving vehicles and across our entire Autonomous Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) Service. This role is critical to ensuring safety, reliability, and performance through rigorous Verification & Validation (V&V) in simulation and real-world operational environments to enable scalability as AeroVect continues to develop its autonomous solutions.

You Will

Work with the Head of Systems to:

Drive the V&V of dependable, safety-critical systems for AGSE in the airport driving environment

Develop and maintain test plans and protocols for evaluating AV system performance (including subsystems) across the ODD (including edge-case scenarios)

Provide artifacts to verify and validate requirements and inform deployment decisions

Oversee and execute manual and automated test cases as necessary in closed course and live operational environments to evaluate system performance, behaviors, and critical safety functionality

Operate and monitor AVs in various driving modes, ensuring safety and compliance during testing and data collection

Collect and analyze diagnostics, sensor streams (LiDAR, radar, camera, GPS, etc.), incident data, etc. to verify system performance and identify issues

Work cross-functionally with autonomy, HW, S&S teams to report issues, identify root causes of failures, validate fixes, and close test feedback loops

Build and maintain scripts and tools for test automation, report generation, and regression tracking to support continuous system validation

Participate in recurring triage and contribute to release-readiness and root cause analysis efforts

Mentor engineers in test-driven development

You Have

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle testing, embedded systems, and / or robotics

Familiarity with automotive / AV test procedures, including real-world and simulation

Familiarity with structured test processes (e.g., V-model, HIL/SIL testing), test automation, and data analysis tools

Strong debugging skills and ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams

Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions across all levels of the organization

Hands-on approach with a willingness to engage deeply and enjoy the work in a fast-paced startup environment with distributed, multidisciplinary teams

Strong organizational and analytical thinking abilities

Proximity to Atlanta, open to travel up to 25%

We Prefer

MS or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field

Experience developing, testing, and / or deploying autonomous vehicles, autonomous systems, robotics, or ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)

Experience with DOORS, Jama, Polarion, Enterprise Architect, etc.

Familiarity with safety standards in the development and deployment of complex autonomous systems (including to ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600, IEC 61508, ANSI B56.5, ISO3691, ANSI 15.08)

Familiarity with the airside driving environment at major global airports

Experience with data science and statistical analysis
